Andy Firth, Australia’s virtuoso clarinet player, teams up with songstress Rebecca Mendoza in concert presenting the music of Benny Goodman and Billie Holiday from the Verve and Decca years.
Andy, one of few Australians to perform a concert in their own name at Carnegie Hall New York, in March 2008, played a concert billed ‘Goodman & Beyond’ to a standing ovation!
Rebecca influenced by Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holliday, Diane Schuur and Ella Fitzgerald began singing jazz and blues. She’s performed major roles in musicals around the world and returns to her roots singing jazz and blues.
