JAZZ series are pleased to present Jazz vocalist Adelina Martinez.

As a soloist Adelina has performed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Concert Hall, Mackay Entertainment Centre and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Adelina has performed as guest vocalist at the Brisbane Jazz Club, the Press Club Jazz Night and the Doo Bop Jazz Bar.

Active within the Brisbane music scene, Adelina sessions in Brazilian, Funk, Soul, Latin and Pop projects. She prides herself on her versatility and relishes the challenge of jumping between genres. As a first-generation Australian, Adelina blends her Uruguayan heritage, Brisbane-via-Sydney upbringing and love for the American Jazz tradition with pop sensibilities and engaging repertoire.

Passionate about community music-making, Adelina has delivered outreach workshops and concerts across Central Queensland with the Queensland Youth Orchestras Big Band. Adelina was a finalist in the 2018 Generations in Jazz vocal scholarship and aspires to release her debut album.

Adelina will perform with James Morrison and the JMA Orchestra at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts, Saturday September 15th.
